Genuinely and amazing and fantastic desert adventure to remember

Our 4 day desert tour was very special and was no doubt much better then we expected.

The camel riding was an experience of a lifetime, riding through the desert during sunset and after. Quad biking I have experienced in many countries however this was easily by far the best a wonderful breathtaking scenic adventure. To top it off a action packed sand dunes ride on a jeep ride.
The historic sites we visited and the absolutely fantastic night in the desert camp with our host Mohammed being a truly inspiring host to remember for life. He really spoilt us with lots of refreshments and delicious food and an awe inspiring service. Sleeping under the stars was a truly magical experience.
This tour thought of everything and were very accommodating to our needs.
I would genuinely highly recommend this adventure for both families and friends alike. Definitely unforgettable memories of a lifetime.

Incredible Adventure Tour I Will Never Forget

This tour exceeded our expectations in every way imaginable. This was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. Had I known in advance what I would experience, I easily would have paid double. Yooouuuuseff!!!! I could go on about Youseff forever. You will never find a tour guide like him. I can’t say enough good things about him. As sad as I was to say goodbye to Morocco when our trip was over, I was even more upset to say goodbye to him.

An Amazing Day!

Our family (myself, my husband, and our 10 year old son) spent the day with Ishmael and Mohamed wandering through the Atlas mountains, Berber villages, and the desert. It was far and away the best part about our stay in Morocco! Both guides were knowledgeable, interesting, fun, and just the sweetest guys! They went out of their way to make sure our day was simply perfect! They picked us up right at our Riad and were very prompt.

We had breakfast with a Berber family, rode camels, hiked to a waterfall, ate amazing food, rode mules, lunch in another Berber village, and quad bike riding in the desert. When my husband had any queries about Morocco, Ishmael was more than happy to answer them.

The son’s 10th birthday fell on our adventure day (it was Mohamed’s birthday too!) and Ishmael and Mohamed had “Happy Birthday Luke” written on the car AND they delivered a special birthday cake to our Riad well after our adventure tour was over. We will NEVER forget our incredible day spent in an incredible country with incredible people. This tour and this company blew our minds!! We are so grateful to have worked with Moroccan Active Adventures!! Memories to last a lifetime. THANK YOU!

Terrific tour company!

After months of planning our 2 week trip to Morocco, I came across MAA from another TA user. Mohammed emailed us right away and our itinerary for our 5 day Marrakech to Fes tour was set. Youssef was a great driver, considerate and patient (except upon entering the city of Fes.lol). We rode horses through Ait Benhaddou and stayed the night at a lovely hotel in Skoura. The next day, we visited a local Kasbah, drove through the Valley of Roses and hiked slot canyons in the Dades.

My husband loved the hotel outside Dades Gorge! The following day, we rock climbed then off to Merzoga for our overnight stay. The camel ride with Ibrahim and “glamping in the desert” with the local guides was something our family will never forget. We sadly departed the camp but more adventures awaited with quad riding in the desert, sand boarding and a hike in Ziz Valley, another great stay at night with terrific food. Our last day we drove through the Mid Atlas mountains and the cedar forest to see the Barbary monkeys. All our guides took extra care to ensure our safety and of course, made sure we had fun. Youssef was the perfect guide, providing us with information about Morocco and the Berber people.

When our son left his wallet in Marrakech, he make all the arrangements to have it delivered to us in Skoura. We really enjoyed our Morocco vacation! Morocco is a beautiful country, both its landscape and people. We couldn’t have been happier with Mohommed, Youssef, their professionalism and all the guides with Moroccan Active Adventures. Miss you!

Adventure into the Atlas Mountains!

Awesome tour to the Atlas Mountains from Marrakech. We crammed a lot into a day and it was all great. Made special by our guide Ishmael!! We rode camels(a long with a baby camel that really liked us), miles and 4 wheelers. All great fun. We rode the miles up a steep trail to a beautiful waterfalls where our guide bought us a wonderful orange juice by the falls. We had stops at local Berber homes where we had tea at one where we learned how the locals lived while also getting Henna art hand drawn on Leanne and Lauren in Local Berber style.

We also had lunch served by another local family that graciously took us into there home. Ishmael also had a surprise stop at one of the local weekly markets that goes on once a week for locals to come get their weekly supplies. An interesting and informative view of how the local people live. An awesome day with an awesome guide and driver that we won’t forget. Very high praise for the awesome time we all had. Eric

Morocco is a diversified country with something for all types of tourists; there is no bad time to visit, but the ideal time to visit is during the country’s shoulder seasons. From March to May or September to November are the best, depending on what activities you are doing, and the destinations you are visiting. During these months, the weather is neither too hot nor too cold during.

Travel to Morocco during Spring:

Morocco’s spring weather is mild and dry. Snow has melted from all but the highest summits of the mountains, and while water temperatures have dropped, it’s nothing that a wetsuit can’t cure. Crowds are also lighter in the spring. The season is the best for hiking in the Montains or Sahara trekking.

  • Mountains & Sahara Desert:
  •  Family Vacation;
  • friends & Adventures:
  • Honeymoon:

Morocco Vacations during the Full:

Fall is an excellent season to travel to Morocco’s towns and coast. With colder, drier temps, it’s also an excellent season for people looking for wonderful trekking vacations especially in the wild desert, or Anti-Atlas Mountains.

Visiting Morocco during Summer:

Summers in Morocco may be rather hot, especially deeper inland. Summer is a common time for families due to school vacations, so the accommodations and resorts (particularly those with pools) will fill up quickly. We still offer desert tours and to the Mountains, however, we focus on spending just one night in the camp.

Exploring Morocco during Winter

Winter in Moroccan, the towns may be fairly enjoyable. The weather typically is not too chilly and crowds are kept to a minimum. Snow may fall at higher elevations, while temperatures in the desert will decrease at night. Most of our guests book their Morocco Vacation during the winter, for outdoor activities.

Participate in some exciting desert activities such as camel trekking, sandboarding down the dunes, or simply unwinding by the pool. If rock climbing is your thing, the gorge is an absolutely fantastic destination for you to check out. You will be able to spend the night at the famous kasbah of Ait Benhaddou if you have two weeks. From there, you can travel to Marrakech via the High Atlas mountains, which provide views that are so breathtaking that will make you lose your breath.

You might even decide to spend the night in the home of a local Berber. So that you can have a more in-depth insight of the culture of Morocco. After that, you should make your way to Essaouira in order to enjoy some time at the beach. You’ll want to take the coastline route back to Casablanca so you can enjoy the sights along the way.
